Just how much more popular Final Fantasy 14 Online will get? After releasing the Endwalker expansion back in December, Square Enix’s hit MMO experienced a massive surge in players. It eventually got to the point that Square pulled the plug on all digital sales of the game until it could roll out additional data centers. Fast forward to January 25, and that’s exactly what’s going to happen. According to Final Fantasy producer Naoki Yoshida, sales of Final Fantasy XIV will return on January 25, the same date the game’s new data centers will go online....

Square Enix knows this all too well. The studio has had mixed success with the remakes it’s released for the earlier Mana games. Having said that, Square Enix has decided to go the remaster route with Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster, deciding to give the first six Final Fantasy games a “pixel-perfect makeover”. This sounds a lot like “we’ll release the earlier Final Fantasy games with updated graphics without changing the original visual style”, similar to what it did with Final Fantasy 9....

Focus Entertainment and Don’t Nod revealed the first trailer of their upcoming new title at the awards show. The cinematic trailer focus on the “Banishers”, a group of ghost-hunters that protect the living. There is a short gameplay footage at the very end of the trailer that looks very promising. According to Focus Entertainment, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is an action RPG made in partnership with Don’t Nod. The studio is best known for Life is Strange and Vampyr....

The new Borderlands spin-off game, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, will feature none other than everybody’s favorite psychopath, Tiny Tina. The game is set to release sometime in early 2022 on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, as well as Xbox Series S/X, and the PC. Unlike Borderlands 3, which was a timed exclusive to the Epic Games Store, Tiny Tina’s: Wonderlands will be available on both Steam and Epic Games Store at launch....

Gamers have been reconstructing the map of Vice City and discovering other features of the game from the footage and other materials that were leaked. Fans have recently uncovered more gameplay details for the upcoming sequel to GTA 5. Twitter user @Staatskassen shared a developer screen that revealed some actions that the player could make in GTA6....

The good news is that 343 Industries has finally broken its silence after promising to release the co-op campaign for Halo Infinite last month. The bad news is the co-op campaign and the forge mode are still delayed. According to the studio’s most recent post-launch roadmap, 343 wants to roll out the co-op campaign on November 8 alongside the Forge mode beta and the winter update. But, if the studio’s recent history is to be believed, we probably shouldn’t expect a sure thing from 343 until it’s there already....

343 is having a hard time with Halo Infinite cheaters Halo Infinite’s multiplayer got a surprise launch last week, which meant that cheaters weren’t able to fully prepare for the game’s release. Unfortunately, it hasn’t taken cheaters long to find out how to break into what is effectively the game’s multiplayer beta. Already, Halo Infinite is being swarmed by cheaters playing Halo Infinite on the PC. It’s gotten so bad that players are asking to disable cross-play if only because the majority of cheaters are coming from the PC platform....
