With less than a month to go before Madden NFL 23 launches, the game’s social media accounts have started to reveal which players received the highest possible overall rating in the game. According to the official announcement, Cleveland Browns’ defensive end, Myles Garrett, is the latest pro to join the 99 Club. The reveal came in a 90-second video featuring NFL legend and All-Madden Team Member Bruce Smith. As Smith surprises Garrett with the 99 Club gift box while he’s training, Garett talks about how he would like the perfect 99 rating to be the standard for himself.
Welcome to the #99Club‼️ #Madden23 pic.twitter.com/cO2UQoXWV2 — Madden NFL 23 (@EAMaddenNFL) July 19, 2022 The Browns’ star player is just the third player with a perfect 99 rating for Madden NFL. The first one, the 49ers Trent Williams, was the first inductee to the Madden NFL 23 99 club. He is also the first offensive lineman in history to receive such a distinction. The Raiders wide receiver, Davante Adams, is also a member of the 99 Club after amassing over 1,500 yards and 123 receptions last season. Adams and Garrett are the only confirmed repeat members of the 99 Club so far. However, unlike Garrett, who joined the elite company in December, Adams earned the “perfect” rating right off the bat. Ultimately, you shouldn’t worry too much if your predictions for the 99-rated Madden NFL players are incorrect at launch. EA adjusts the player ratings through updates as the season goes on, so players who might have fallen short at the start could climb all the way up to the exclusive club before the season ends. Madden NFL 23 will be a special one. The game’s namesake, John Madden, passed away before last year ended. To pay him tribute, EA is making Madden the cover star for Madden NFL 23, among other things.
