Raiden Shogun/Baal’s Talents

Origin

Origin is the Raiden Shogun’s normal, charged, and plunging attack. She can perform 5 consecutive attacks with her polearm. Her charged attack is an upward slashing attack. Using her charged attack will deplete Stamina and her plunging attack deals AoE damage on enemies.

Transcendence: Baleful Omen

Transcendence: Baleful Omen is the Raiden Shogun’s elemental skill. Activating this skill will deal Electro damage to enemies and grant all party members with the Eye of Stormy Judgement. Whenever your characters attack and damage enemies, the Eye of Stormy Judgement will deal Electro damage to nearby enemies. It will also increase the damage of the character’s elemental burst depending on the Energy cost of the character’s elemental burst.

Secret Art: Musou Shinsetsu

Secret Art: Musou Shinsetsu is the Raiden Shogun’s elemental burst. Activating this elemental burst will deal AoE electro damage on enemies and allow Baal to use the Musou Isshin. Instead of using her polearm, Baal will use her Tachi and all her attacks will be infused with Electro. All her attacks on this state will recover energy for all her party members. She will also gain bonus resistance to interruption and become immune to Electro-Charged elemental reactions. Whenever party members use an elemental burst, the Raiden Shogun will get Resolve Stacks. The resolve stacks will depend on the energy cost of the elemental burst. The damage of this elemental burst depends on the Resolve stacks that you have accumulated.

Wishes Unnumbered

This passive skill can be unlocked on Ascension Phase 1. Whenever you get elemental particles or orbs, you will gain 2 Resolve stacks. This effect can last for 3 seconds.

Favonius Lance

Another 4-star polearm you can choose for the Raiden Shogun is the Favonius Lance. The Favonius lance gives you the effect called Windfall. Your critical attacks on enemies have a 60% chance to generate elemental particles. These particles regenerate 6 Energy for your party member on the field. This effect can happen every 12 seconds.

Raiden Shogun’s Artifact Set

The Raiden Shogun is great as both a support and sub-DPS. There are 4 options for the artifact set of the Raiden Shogun. When it comes to the Raiden Shogun’s Artifact set, you have to prioritize ATK%, Electro damage, and Crit damage.

Team Compositions

Double Electro

You can make the Raiden Shogun your main DPS in this team. Pair her up with Kazuha or Jean and Kujou Sara. Both Jean and Kujou Sara will act as the sub DPS as well. Having 2 electro characters in your team means any electro elemental reactions you make have a chance to generate an Electro elemental particle. You can add Bennett to this team as your second healer as well.

Overload Team

If you have Yoimiya, you can make her into a consistent main DPS using the Raiden Shogun. She is a long-range Pyro character and the Raiden Shogun applies the Electro element using her skills. Being a long-range character means that she is safe from the Overload elemental reaction. You can also add Bennett to this team to increase her attack caused by the Pyro resonance. Lastly, any anemo character like Kazuha or Venti will do so you can pull in all your enemies at once.

Eula Team

Eula is a powerful Main DPS that can deal physical damage to her enemies. However, it can be challenging to get the energy for her Elemental burst, especially since she is reliant on her elemental burst. The Raiden Shogun can act as her support and battery, giving her the energy recharge she needs. You can also add Diona in this team composition as your healer, giving you an extra CRIT rate because of the Cryo resonance. Zhongli would also be a great addition because Eula can be vulnerable during her long elemental burst.

Summary

The Raiden Shogun or Baal is one of the best battery and Sub-DPS characters in the game. Her skills can increase the damage of other characters while constantly applying Electro damage on enemies. The best weapon for the Raiden Shogun is any weapon that has an Energy Recharge sub-stat. Always prioritize the ATK% and Electro damage when farming for her artifact sets.
