Now, we finally have an answer to these questions - and more!
Marvel Studios confirmed the title and release date of Captain America 4 at its Panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con alongside the release of the first trailer for Black Panther 2 and details about the new Daredevil show. According to Marvel, Sam Wilson’s first solo outing as the new face of the star-spangled nation is Captain America: New World Order and will come out in theaters on March 5, 2024. In the meantime, fans have spent the past few days speculating about the plot for the next Captain America film. In the comic books, The New World Order is an organization founded by the Red Skull with other supervillains such as Absorbing Man and Juggernaut. Neither has made their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet, so we’re pretty sure that the MCU’s taken on it will be different. Interestingly, the first episode of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier had the same title. As it has done so masterfully over the years, Marvel Studios will likely re-hash the comic book storylines and put their own spin on them. Also, Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine joined the MCU in the closing moments of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Since New World Order precedes the Thunderbolts film, we wouldn’t be surprised if the events of both films will effectively be a part of a two-part film series albeit under different names.
♬ original sound - Xfire.com - Xfire.com The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is easily one of the best MCU shows. It explored the nitty-gritty side of the MCU, giving us a proper backstory for Sam Wilson’s Captain America. If nothing else, the show helped guarantee that audiences will accept Sam Wilson as the first “successor” character to get his own movie in the MCU. Hopefully, New World Order can build on the excellent chemistry between Mackie’s Captain America and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes.
