We’ve had other epic monster movie fights before. Frankenstein once took on the Wolfman, while the Aliens and Predators fought for control over a sleepy little town. Sadako took on Kayako in a match that felt like a draw. But, for some reason, fans haven’t seen Chucky go against other horror movie characters despite his popularity. In fact, fans have been asking for a Chucky versus Annabelle crossover, as both dolls seem capable of dishing out massive amounts of gore. The success of the Chucky series on Syfy led to speculation that a crossover movie is in the works. Chucky series creator Don Mancini has always been vocal about a crossover film for his character. The director spoke with ComicBook.com to confirm that he is in talks to have a crossover movie sometime in the future, saying: Don Mancini hasn’t confirmed who his killer doll would fight in a movie but Universal has a stable of monsters from King Kong to the Mummy. One likely candidate to go head to head against Chuck would be M3GAN, a new character by Universal subsidiary Blumhouse. M3GAN stands for Model 3 Generative Android which is essentially a murderous robotic doll. Amie Donald takes on the role of M3GAN in the upcoming horror flick. Mancini was asked about a potential crossover pitting the classic killer doll Chucky against the upstart M3GAN. “I haven’t seen the movie. All I’ve seen is what everyone else has seen and that’s very fun. I wouldn’t be opposed to it,” Mancini said. It would also be interesting to have Chucky battle against classics like Freddy Krueger or Jason Voorhees. The Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street films have ruled the horror movie genre with Chucky for the last three decades. A three-way death match between Freddy, Jason, and Chucky sounds like a whole lot of fun. Frankenstein could be another monster Chucky could battle against. Both share similarities in being reanimated creations. A lumbering Frankenstein trying to fend off an agile and cunning Chucky is something that we could imagine happening in the future.
