The good news here is that the game’s ESRB rating suggests that PS4 and PS5 fans will get a chance to play The Ascent soon.
Is The Ascent going to release on the PS4 and PS5?
The Ascent was one of the games released last year that capitalized on the fans who had walked away disappointed from Cyberpunk 2077. So, it’s only natural the PlayStation owners celebrate the chance to play the game. Keep in mind that the game’s developers, Neon Giant, have not confirmed the The Ascent’s PS4 and PS5 release. But, it all feels like only a matter of time after several users spotted a recent update on the game’s ESRB rating page. Whereas The Ascent’s page previously contained only listings of the game on the Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and the PC, it has since been updated to include both the PS4 and the PS5. Here’s to hoping that the PS4 and the PS5 version of The Ascent are free from the technical issues that plagued the PC and Xbox versions at launch. Several users encountered issues with The Ascent on the Xbox consoles and the PC. The majority of these problems revolve around the inability to play co-op with friends as well as extreme stuttering issues. Neon Giant has since patched these problems out. However, we wouldn’t be totally surprised if the PS4 and PS5 versions suffered from such problems for the first few weeks. Speaking of Cyberpunk 2077, the controversial CD Projekt Red title has improved lately. Back in November, the Steam reviews suggested that fans are starting to love Cyberpunk 2077 again. Meanwhile, CDPR’s CEO revealed in November 2021 that two major updates to Cyberpunk 2077 are coming early this year. When you add in the earlier leak about upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 content, it appears that fans of the Cyberpunk genre have something to look forward to this 2022.
