Are PS5 owners getting Ghsotwire: Tokyo soon?

Ghostwire: Tokyo is one of the few true PS5-exclusives on the market. As such, PS5 owners are keeping an eye out for Tango Gameworks’ latest project. Although Ghostwire: Tokyo isn’t quite like the horror game that the studio’s part of The Evil Within games were, the action-adventure game is giving off the kind of supernatural vibes that could make it appeal to horror genre fans. The last time that audiences heard about Ghostwire: Tokyo was last September when Tango dropped a new gameplay trailer. The trailer came a few months after Tango confirmed that the game will come out in 2022 instead of 2021. Unfortunately, Tango nor its parent company, ZeniMax Media, has revealed much information about Ghostwire: Tokyo since, much to the dismay of expecting fans. The good news here is that observant fans just found out that Ghostwire: Tokyo has been rated in Brazil and Korea back in December and this January, respectively.

More importantly, the sightings suggest that Tango and PlayStation are preparing to launch Ghostwire: Tokyo for the PS5 within the next few months. Having said that, early 2022 is looking relatively stacked when it comes to PlayStation exclusives. After Forbidden West on February 18, Gran Turismo 7 will follow on March 4. Ghostwire: Tokyo would slot on quite nicely anytime between April and August, especially if Sony ends up releasing God of War: Ragnarok in September as recent reports suggest. Of course, this is all a big if. At this point, only Tango and PlayStation know when Ghostwire: Tokyo is going to be released. If it’s any consolation, Sony is believed to be preparing for a State of Play event in February. If this is true, Sony might reveal the official release date of Ghostwire: Tokyo by then.
