Marvel Studios dropped an epic trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and it has gotten a lot of fans excited. The new trailer gives additional details about the plot of the movie and finally reveals the new Black Panther suit. The trailer opens with a solemn funeral for the fallen King before Namor appears and gives the opening line “only the most broken people can be great leaders.” The trailer then shifts from a somber tone to a more upbeat action-packed sequence showing the conflict between Wakanda and Talocan. Audiences are particularly excited about the reveal of the new Black Panther. The helmet for the new suit is similar to the leaked Funko Pop image that we reported a week ago. This all but confirms that Shuri will take the mantle of Black Panther as she wears similar face paint.
Additional details revealed in the trailer
Namor is prominently featured in the new Black Panther trailer. The character’s actor, Tenoch Huerta, recently revealed that Namor is a mutant and also an anti-hero in Wakanda Forever. In one of the scenes, we can see M’Baku telling audiences that Namor goes by several other names like “Kukulkan” or “Feathered Serpent God.” Namor is then seen with tiny wings on his heels that he uses to fly through the air and chase airships. There are also more details to the water childbirth scene. Fans have speculated that it was for T’Challa’s rumored son with Nakia. It seems that the scene is related to the origins of Namor as there are also little wings on the heels of the baby. We also get a first look at Riri Willians in her Iron Heart armor. We see her taking flight in the suit and also get to see the Heads-Up Display (HUD), which looks awfully a lot like Tony Stark’s JARVIS. Iron Heart’s debut in Wakanda Forever will tie into her Disney+ series which will arrive in 2023. Fans speculate that the scene where armed men attack a ship is what sets up the conflict with the Talocan people. The ship in question looks to be a research vessel belonging to Wakanda and is assumed to carry the precious metal Vibranium.
The new Wakanda Forever movie poster
There’s the new movie poster for the film which prominently features Shuri and alludes to her ascension as the new Black Panther. She is in the middle of the poster with her arms crossed and the Black Panther helmet behind her. The headpiece also clearly depicts the white face paint that she wears even in the previous film.
— Marvel Studios (@MarvelStudios) October 3, 2022 The poster also features Namor and his Talocan allies on opposite sides from Shuri and the warriors of Wakanda. The poster depicts the conflict as troops from both kingdoms are also seen charging toward each other. We’ll find out more about Black Panther: Wakanda Forever when it hits theaters on November 11.
