Having said that, the latest Epic survey hints at some pretty massive Fortnite collaborations - some of them coming totally out of left field.
What kind of Fortnite collaborations can we expect in the future?
You’d think that the popularity of Fortnite would taper off following the $30M Fortnite World Cup in 2019. However, Epic Games’ battle royale shooter has only become more played - this is thanks largely to Epic’s effort to bring in all kinds of collaborations and crossovers. Believe it or not, there’s even been a concert held in Fortnite, with another one reportedly coming soon. In recent weeks, Epic introduced MCU’s Loki and Lebron James to Fortnite, but what Epic has in store for the future of Fortnite might be even bigger.
I’ll just post some of the most interesting ones here! 👀 Remember that Guggimon (Season 7 BP) was also in one of these surveys before he came into the game! 🔥 pic.twitter.com/4il4WJJMiL — Shiina (@ShiinaBR) July 25, 2021 According to a Twitter post by known Fortnite leaker, ShiinaBR, Epic recently sent out a survey to ask audiences what they felt about various potential characters. The survey included everything from Dragonball Z’s Son Goku to Naruto and even TV shows like How I Met Your Mother. The latter is a surprising addition, but not without its upsides. Just in case you’re not a fan of How I Met Your Mother, one of its main characters, Barney Stinson, loves Laser Tag. Throughout the 9 seasons of HIMYM, Barney Stinson frequently brags about how good he is at Laser Tag, so adding him to Fortnite would actually make a lot of sense. Of course, this is assuming that the entire listing is true, and if it is, everything included in it is something that Epic plans on adding to Fortnite in the future. Epic could have just thrown some big names in there to throw leakers off or to see if people will actually vote for them. With that said, we admit to being intrigued by the prospect of Fortnite becoming more loony and wacky as the years pass by. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but Epic seems to have solidified Fortnite’s place in the gaming industry. Adding even more characters to the mix would only serve to benefit the zany battle royale shooter.
