The HBO Max show, which will revolve around the peace-obsessed killer, is the first (and only) The Suicide Squad spin-off to release so far. The story will reportedly follow the origins of the character while also exploring events after The Suicide Squad. Because it’s been confirmed that the TV show will be part of DC FanDome later this year, a new poster for Peacemaker has been officially revealed.
All eyes are on DC FanDome 2021 later in October
The first DC FanDome virtual event took place back in August 2020, as DC Comics’ response to the cancellation of San Diego’s Comic-Con. Although the convention was initially birthed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it appears that DC Comics intends to make it an annual thing. After the success of DC FanDome 2020, another convention is expected to be held on October 16 that will prominently feature Peacemaker. As shown in the latest poster for Peacemaker, we can see the anti-hero throwing up a peace sign as he is driving away on a downtrodden rust-filled car. The bumper sticker also confirms the date for DC FanDome 2021 later this year with the caption “give peace a f#cking chance.”
— Peacemaker on HBO Max (@DCpeacemaker) August 31, 2021 The Peacemaker Twitter account is a treasure trove of laughs and useful information. Although its content shouldn’t come as a shock when you consider the personality of the show’s protagonist. The account has also opened itself to fan-related queries and questions. So, if you have questions, don’t be afraid to ask away.
What can fans expect to see in DC FanDome 2021?
There’s plenty of DC content to look forward to at DC FanDome 2021. Warner Bros. Pictures is expected to drop a brand-new trailer for Matt Reeves’ The Batman starring Robert Pattinson. Fans will also get a chance to see behind-the-scenes footage from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and Shazam! Fury of the Gods, both of which are expected to premiere in December 2022 and June 2023, respectively. Speaking of footage, DC FanDome 2021 will also bear witness to everyone’s first-ever look at the Dwayne Johnson-led Black Adam after it wrapped up filming earlier this year. Audiences might also get a chance to see a glimpse of the live-action adaptation of Flashpoint with Andrés Muschietti’s The Flash. On the small screen side of things, Warner Bros. Television will also take the center stage to offer audiences a new look at upcoming seasons for Batwoman, The Flash, Superman & Lois, and Sweet Tooth. There’s also going to be a farewell tribute to Supergirl as it nears its conclusion following six successful seasons. In addition to this, DC FanDome 2021 is also going to celebrate 100 episodes of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, as well as provide a glimpse at the upcoming DC drama Naomi and a new episode of DC’s Stargirl. DC FanDome 2021 is also giving gamers a reason to tune in. Warner Bros. Games will take this opportunity to show off new trailers of Gotham Knights and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. The studio decided to delay the former from its original 2021 release date to 2022. Because of this, there’s chatter that the same thing is going to happen to the latter, so that both games don’t have to compete. Both Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment are also set to preview their upcoming animated films. The animated adaptation of Injustice is easily the highlight of this part of the showcase, especially after the preview leaked earlier in July. Everything that we’ve already mentioned is just a small chunk of all that will be revealed at DC FanDome 2021. The DC-centric virtual event will kick off on October 16 at 10:00 AM PT and will be streamed live from the event’s official website, Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter.
